“I go to the home improvement stores and ask for their “oops” items. This can be anything from flooring to paint. Often the paint will come in five gallon buckets (you can save as much as 100 dollars on them). I get the white/off white colors and mix colors into them to get something similar to what I want. Also, the flooring comes cheap if they accidentally cut the wrong size. I got 10×12 laminate recently for ten dollars. Another tip is to check out the gardening section. If you see any bags of topsoil/fertilizer with holes in it, then snag an employee and ask them to put it in a discount bag for you. I usually never pay more than sixty cents for my topsoil! You can even call around to the stores and ask what is available before driving out there to save gas, but make sure you call right before you leave because it is usually first come first serve!”

I have worked at a paint store before, so I know you can snag GREAT deals on paint if you do this!!
